Get Fit in the New Year!

When people set their goals for the New Year, there are a few goals that we repeatedly see every December: “Make more money,” and “Get healthy” or “Lose weight.” We believe that you’ll end up being wealthier by being healthy, so you can actually knock these two goals out at the same time if you take the time to get fit. Think about it…

How expensive is it to spend money on:

  • Medical bills (surgeries, medical procedures)
  • Doctor office visit co-pays
  • Prescription drugs
  • Opportunity cost of missed time at work
  • Higher insurance premiums
  • Constantly buying larger clothes

It’s not fun, and we want to put an end to your yo-yo cycle of weight loss and weight gain. Contrary to popular belief, weight loss and optimal health is not accomplished by taking a magic pill. Seems weird that a supplement review website would be telling you, “You’re not going to lose weight just by taking a pill,” right? The fact is that supplements can help. Supplements can help a tremendous amount… but only if you work too.

Consider a weight loss supplement to be the additive that you put into the fuel of a high end car. It’ll get you a boost, help you accomplish your goal faster, but if you put crappy fuel into the car, it’s not going to help the car get to where it wants to go. If you’re driving on two flat tires and your oil tank is empty, the engine will burn out and die. Treat your body the way it deserves to be treated!

Weight loss and being fit is a mindset. It’s a shift that has to take place inside your brain first. You can get fit! Until you realize that being healthy is a lifestyle, not a fad, only then will you experience long-term growth and wellness. Healthy living cannot be a temporary fix to drop weight, then once you get down to your ideal weight go back to all of your bad habits.

Listen to what we’re saying… This doesn’t mean that you need to deprive yourself of eating yummy food. Heck, do you love donuts? We do. We’re never giving those up! But you have to be in the right place mentally in order to cheat every once in a while on your clean eating. The reason we exercise regularly and eat well throughout the week is to be able to cheat on the weekends by having a yummy donut and cheat meal here and there.

Get Fit With the Right Foods

Healthy eating is NOT about depriving yourself. Life is too short to deprive yourself. Instead, shift your mindset to realize that there is an abundance of foods that you can eat! There are some fantastic recipes that you can make that are:

  • Inexpensive
  • Easy-to-make
  • Taste delicious

Just start walking. Get sweaty. Get out of breath. Just move your body! Move your body for 30 minutes a day. Take your phone with you and listen to some music on Pandora, go for a brisk walk for 30 minutes, and see how you feel after doing it for six days straight. Take a rest on the seventh day. See how you feel then. We guarantee you will feel a tremendous amount better!

Enough with the nonsense, it’s time to get your life in order. There’s no better time than January 1st than to make a commitment to yourself to treat yourself with the respect you deserve.
