What are “Nootropics”?

One of the hottest trends in the world of supplementation is the emergence of “smart pills,” otherwise known as Nootropics. These supplements are generally capsules that have been packed with different types of natural ingredients that have a reputation for increasing some cognitive functions.

The Daily Effect of Stressstress

Companies are beginning to realize that the average man and women is pretty stressed-out during the day. With the advent of technology such as social media, the Internet, and a 24-hour news cycle, we are inundated with information on a minute-to-minute basis. Never before in human history have we had so much information readily available at our fingertips. This is a good thing, but it can also cause issues:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Exhaustion
  • Stress-related health issues
  • Lack of concentration
  • Issues with focus
  • “Brain fog”
  • Sleep problems

Nootropics and their Benefits

The good news is that with proper care, all of the previously-mentioned ailments are treatable, and can be eliminated. Obviously, you want to make sure that you check your health to make sure that there are no other underlying reasons behind your issues. A lot of times, however, it’s stress. So many people deal with stress on a regular basis, and thankfully there are non-pharmaceutical ways of helping you.

Medications like Adderall have become really popular among college students and entrepreneurs because they help increase focus, and take away a lot of the feelings of exhaustion related to lack of sleep. The downside of these types of medications is that they can be habit-forming. Not only that, but Adderall is basically taking an amphetamine. Look at the bottle, and it probably says “Amphetamine Salts.”

Instead of relying on amphetamines to boost your brain’s functioning, why not take a look at a natural supplement instead? With this trend of nootropics emerging, there have been multiple companies that have released supplements to help people like you be able to get the most out of their brains:

Take a close look at all of these reviews to see which one makes the most sense for you. Try one for a couple of weeks, and jot down how it made you feel. Do your best to incorporate similar routines on each one, whether you’re incorporating exercise or caffeine, as these can help improve your results.

Drink a lot of water, do some regular cardio exercise, eat a lot of vegetables, and get an adequate amount of sleep every night. Doing so will help reduce your stress levels. Mixed in with a nootropic supplement, you may see that your productivity will start to skyrocket!

Have you tried a nootropic supplement? If so, which one? How did it make you feel? Did you stay on it, and if not, why? We’d love to hear what you have to say.
